The GE-CH 1846 comes with a powerful 18V lithium-ion battery that is capable of providing 40 minutes runtime. It has a blade length of 46cm, which is perfect for trimming small to large hedges.

Given its smaller size, the blade is long and sleeve-type blade guard which feels sturdy.

WORX WG261E

The Worx hedge trimmer has a generous handle which means it’s comfortable to use. With a 45cm long blade with a 16mm cutting capacity and tip protection. It cuts smoothly and comes with a spare battery.

The WORX WG261E is a cordless hedge trimmer that is designed for efficient and precise trimming of hedges and bushes. It comes with a powerful 20V lithium-ion battery which provides great runtime.

It takes a long time to charge – 230 minutes. Although the run time of just 20 minutes is very short it comes with two batteries. If you’re organised and keep the second battery charged, you’ll get 40 minutes of continuous use.

It doesn’t have a battery level indicator, which we found unhelpful.
